Founder and CEO Matt Higgins has always been determined to succeed on his own terms. He grew up in Queens, hawking flowers on street corners and working at McDonald’s to help put food on the table. On a mission to support his ailing mother and transcend poverty as fast as possible, he dropped out of high school at 16 to work full time, take his GED and enroll in college. Over the next decade, he would earn his law degree from Fordham at night and begin his career as the youngest press secretary in New York City history, managing the global press response during 9/11.

Nadine Yang is a Vice President in Private Capital Markets at JP Morgan Global Investment Banking, based in New York. She works with companies across a wide range of industries to access private capital from institutional investors including venture capital, growth equity, private equity, family offices, hedge funds, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and others. Recent closed transactions include a $2.5bn preferred equity private placement for Grab, a ride-hailing, food delivery, and mobile payments company based in Southeast Asia.

James Glassman provides market insights to help clients better

From 1979 through 1988, Mr. Glassman served as a senior economist
in the Research & Statistics and Monetary Affairs departments at
the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, D.C. His responsibilities
ranged from analysis and forecasting of inflation and labor market
developments, to analysis of the Federal Reserve’s operating
strategies and interest rate markets, to the development of monetary
and reserves projections. He joined Morgan Guaranty in 1988
and then Chemical Bank in 1993, which, through a combination of
mergers, became JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Mr. Glassman earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of
Illinois, Champaign-Urbana and a master’s degree in Economics
